Beautiful weekend in Copenhagen

We had such a nice girls weekend in Copenhagen. Me and my friends Karin and Ulrika visited Charlotta who moved there last year. I loved, loved, loved the cute, all organic hotel where I stayed, Axel Hotel Guldsmeden. They served an amazing organic breakfast buffet, the granola was insane. We spent hours here on both Saturday and Sunday morning. We did a lot of wine and a lot of talking, and we had great dinners at Paté Paté and LiliManfreds Mad&Vin, and drinks at a lot of bars, one of them being Mesteren go Laerlingen, a nice smoky bar with great music. We also took a field trip to Louisiana, it was a really nice museum and we looked at the exhibition “Avantgardens Kvinder” but I actually liked the surroundings more; the beautiful ocean and rocks outside of the museum.
Of course we also checked out Charlottas office which was really nice (how could it not be with beautiful clothes everywhere – like the new Altewai.Saome collection hanging around).
It was a little sad to leave Charlotta but I’ll be back soon <3
Now its time to pack for New York. I’ll be at the office tomorrow and then I’m off to NYC. Wii!

After work today, me and two friends are leaving for a girls weekend in Copenhagen, to visit our friend Charlotta. She moved there recently to head up the fashion PR agency Patriksson’s Danish office. Looking forward to a weekend filled with drinks, food, shopping and lovely friends. (and hopefully a sunny Copenhagen)

Some highlights from my Saturday:
-Breakfast at one of my favorite places, Xoko.
-The Eija-Liisa Ahtila exhibition at Moderna Museet “Parallella världar” (parallel worlds). Some of it was hypnotically beautiful.
-A lunch pasta at Moderna Museet which only had killer ingredients. Linguini, mushrooms, spinach and cheese.
-Melting ice
-Mini cupcakes for cinema snacks. We saw the Swedish film Avalon. It was intense and I am happy that I finished my cupcakes during the first 10 minutes of the movie..
-Beautiful sunset from our bedroom window. Finally some light again after this long winter!!!

I am sorry for changing the way that this blog looks all the time but I can’t seem to find any look that I am comfortable with. And no theme seems to work, I don’t know if it’s my browser or what is going on but headlines goes missing and words ends up on other words…
I guess I’ll get there soon…
Donate a bra!

I love this piece from CNN about a woman in the US who collects unwanted bras for a charity called “Free the Girls“. The organization gives them to young women coming out of sex trafficking in Mozambique – not to wear, but to sell in used clothing markets where bras are a luxury item and command top dollar. Such great use for unwanted clothing!
